How to Pause or Throttle Drink Orders During a High-Volume Rush

If your bar rail is getting slammed and your bartenders are falling behind, you can temporarily pause or throttle incoming PourPass orders directly from your manager dashboard.

⏸️ How to Pause Ordering Natively

  1. Open the PourPass Manager App on your master tablet.
  2. Tap the Gear Icon (Settings) in the top right corner.
  3. Toggle Accepting Orders to OFF.

Note: Customers currently looking at your menu will see a banner stating: "The bar is temporarily busy and catching up on rounds. Ordering will resume in a few minutes."

⏱️ Throttling Orders Instead of Pausing

If you don't want to completely shut down sales, you can increase your fulfillment buffer:

  • Go to Settings > Order Throttling.
  • Adjust the average drink fulfillment time from 3 minutes to 8 minutes. This automatically spaces out customer checkout availability so your staff can catch their breath.
